Investor Relations Associate – Hong Kong (N0128)
Coller Capital is a global leader in private equity secondaries with a diversified investor base of approximately 600 institutional LPs, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, and financial institutions. The Investor Relations (IR) function plays a critical role in servicing and deepening these relationships while supporting the firm’s fundraising and communications strategy.
As an Investor Relations Associate based in Hong Kong, you will support the APAC IR team in delivering a best‑in‑class experience to institutional investors across the region. You will be involved in assisting with investor onboarding, due diligence processes, and ongoing client servicing. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional early in their career who is eager to gain exposure to institutional investors, fund structures, and regulatory requirements within an investment management environment.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional Investor Due Diligence and Servicing Support
Assist in responding to investor due diligence requests, including DDQs, RFPs, and ad hoc questionnaires
Collect, organize, and maintain due diligence materials such as fund documents, policies, and performance data
Coordinate with internal teams (legal, compliance, investment, operations, and finance) to gather accurate and timely information
Help maintain and update due diligence databases and investor portals
Support ongoing servicing of existing investors, including responding to information requests and follow-up inquiries
Assist with preparing materials for investor meetings and roadshows
Fund Knowledge & Reporting
Develop a deep understanding of Coller Capital’s platform and funds, underlying investments, and performance analytics to support detailed institutional-grade responses.
Support the preparation and delivery of quarterly reports, customised LP reporting, and supplementary information frequently requested by institutional allocators (e.g., exposure analysis, ESG metrics, performance attribution).
Contribute to the creation of investor presentations, due‑diligence packages, RFP/RFI responses, and meeting materials for institutional investor engagements.
Relationship Management & CRM
Maintain accurate institutional investor records within Salesforce, ensuring that interactions, commitments, contacts, and reporting deliverables are properly documented.
Assist the team with preparation for institutional investor meetings by providing background research, data packs, and materials tailored to the needs of specific LP types (SWFs, pensions, insurers, etc.).
Strategic Projects & Process Enhancement
Contribute to internal initiatives aimed at enhancing Coller Capital’s institutional investor service model, digital reporting capabilities, and data delivery processes.
Assist in implementing system improvements and operational enhancements designed to meet the evolving expectations of institutional LPs.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field
1–3 years of experience in investor relations, due diligence, finance, accounting, investment banking, private equity, asset management, or a similar analytical field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work comfortably with financial statements, fund reporting, and performance data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft polished, institution‑ready investor responses.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Desirable Experience
Previous exposure to institutional investors or alternative investment structures.
Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system.
Fluency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean) to support regional institutional relationships.
